Jacqueline Elizabeth Posey Nelson was born February 28th, 1951 to Jesse Merlin Posey and Mary Agnes Austin Posey in Twin Oaks Upper Chichester, Pennsylvania. Jacqueline had lived in Monroeville, New Jersey for several years.
She attended Upper Chichester High School, graduating in 1969. Jacqueline received her Associates of Science in Management Degree from Widener University (Brandywine Division) in June of 1988. She continued her education earning a Bachelor of Science in Management/Liberal Arts from Neumann University in May of 1993, and a Master of Science in Management/Public Administration from Wilmington College in May of 1996.
Jacqueline retired from Crozer Keystone Health System after 39 years as a Senior Disbursement Clerk in the Finance Department. For several years she was a member of the Chester Senior Center Tappers. Jacqueline had been a part of the Army Reserves for 28 years, she served 2 tours; Iraq and Germany. She became a Jehovah’s Witness after retiring from the United States Army Reserves. Jacqueline loved to travel, plant flowers and attend yard sales & flea markets.
On the morning of June 2, 2020 Jaqueline Elizabeth Posey Nelson joined her heavenly father from her earthly home. She is now reunited with her parents Jesse Merlin Posey and Mary Agnes Austin Posey; Brother, Richard Samuel Posey; Grandparents, Richard & Annie Austin, and Matilda Posey Richardson.
She is survived by her devoted husband Calvin H. Nelson; son, Naheem Posey; 3 step-children, Calvin H. Nelson, Jr.(Delia), Deneen Hodge (Donald), Derrick Nelson (Tiffany); her four leg baby Si-Si; 2 sisters, Barbara Posey-Oliver and Denise Peterson; 6 Nephews; One Special Nephew Jared Oliver, Richard Granberry, Richard Posey, Tyron Granberry, DeShawn McIntyre and Rahmir Posey; Nieces: Trina &Tammy Bruton, Takina Stewart, and Shaneikqua Harris, 1 Aunt, Catherine Barber; A special cousin Patricia Lancaster; Sister-in-Law, Joan Posey (Richard); God-Son, Troy Griffin-Soto; 2 special Nephews, Clifton Johnson and Joel (Jay) Harris, and a special niece Chiquita Harris, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
