Obituary

Faith Lynette Barnett, affectionately known as Faye, was born July 18, 1958 in Chester, Pennsylvania to June Murray (Barnett) and Joseph Johnson. Faye was educated in the Chester Upland School District, and was a graduate of Chester High School, class of 1976. After high school, Faye was a hardworking employee of Lasko Products in Paoli, PA and Taylor Hospital in Ridley Park, PA.
Faye loved her family very much, especially playing with and babysitting the young children. She also loved animals, her favorite were puppies and dogs. She was an avid card player, especially the games Tonk and Pitty Pat. Every Friday evening was spent playing cards with her mother and Uncle Bruce, lovingly known as “Man”. She also loved the lottery and every day would make sure to play the numbers. No matter where Faye was, she always made sure to be home by 12:30 in order to watch her “stories”.
Faye also LOVED good food. She was never missing from a family dinner or barbeque. She especially loved homemade spaghetti made by her sisters. Faye also enjoyed music and dancing with friends and family. Faye would love watching her sisters and nieces sing karaoke and make up dance routines to their favorite songs.
Faye passed away very unexpectedly at home in Chester, PA on October 2, 2019. She is survived by her mother June Murray and step-father Bradford Murray III of Chester, PA and father Joseph Johnson. Her sisters Crystal Richardson, Chester, PA; Kathryn McMillian, New Castle, DE; Tonya Bass (Michael), Swedesboro, NJ; Dawn Johnson. Her nephew Wendell “BJ” Murray (Jessica) Morton, PA. Her nieces Tiffany Williams (Marlon), New Castle, DE; Ashley Richardson (Darren), Chester, PA; Brittany Richardson, Chester, PA; Noelle Malvaney (Aaron), Gibbstown, NJ. As well as Uncles Bruce “Man” Barnett, Chester, PA; Michael Barnett, Chester, PA; Vernon “Boyo” Barnett, Chester, PA. She is also remembered and loved by her Great-Nephews as well as a host of friends.

Lovingly submitted,
The Family

My sincere condolences go out to the family and loved ones of my deal childhood friend. I'll never forget the times we had growing up in and around Norris Park. Time and distance separated us as we grew older; however, we re-connected again in 2014 when I visited my childhood home. It was good visiting and reminiscing about our youthful days. The picture shared is a beautiful depiction of how I remember her. Sleep in Peace my friend.... Michelle Pinkett (nee Pierce)
