Frank Brown Sr.
Frank James Brown Sr. of Fitzgerald, Georgia passed away on May 24, 2018 at Crozer Hospital at the age of 66. Frank lived at Sterling Nursing Home since 2014 due to suffering a stroke. Frank was one of 10 children to the late Henry and Lucille [Sparks] Brown.
At a young age, Frank became a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Chester, Pennsylvania. Frank was a life-long resident of Chester, graduating from Chester High School in 1969. He attended Strayer University majoring in accounting, obtaining his associates degree. Frank started his own business, and was a successful self-employed accountant for many years. During his early years, he also served as a board member of the Chester NAACP, and also received an award from Rosa Parks for his contribution to civil rights. Frank always had a warm smile, and an infectious laugh. He was kind and caring, always helping others when he could. He loved and lived for his family.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Henry Jr. (Gwen), Roosevelt (Vanessa), and sister Bonita. Frank leaves behind his two sons Frankie and Brandon of Delaware; sisters Joyce (William) from Atlanta, Georgia; Deborah (James) of Milledgeville, Georgia, Lucille, Theresa (James) of Chester; brothers Edward (Anita) of Boothwyn, PA; Clyde from Chester, a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
